Thirty years. One mission.

Wright Choices was founded in 1995 with a clear idea: that people with disabilities deserve real jobs at real wages, in real workplaces, alongside coworkers who aren’t paid to be there. That idea wasn’t radical — it was overdue. And it has shaped every decision we’ve made for three decades.

Today, Wright Choices is one of Virginia’s most experienced supported employment providers. We hold our seventh consecutive three-year CARF accreditation. We are an approved provider for Virginia DARS and DBHDS. We operate three regional teams across Hampton Roads. And we serve hundreds of individuals each year — with the same one-to-one approach we used the day we opened.

Wright Choices equips Virginians with disabilities with the skills to succeed, champions their capability with employers, and delivers the dependable hires that build strong workforces.

FOUNDER’S NOTE

Wright Choices was founded by Lance Wright, MSW, LCSW — a licensed clinical social worker who has spent his entire career in disability services. Lance is also a practicing therapist and the owner of Associated Counselors of Tidewater. He continues to lead Wright Choices as CEO, working alongside the team in Newport News and across all three regional offices.
