Our Process

  1. Referral. Submit a referral through your DARS or DBHDS counselor, or contact us directly. We respond within two business days.
  2. Intake & Goal-Setting. We meet to understand your goals, skills, support needs, and the kind of work that fits your life.
  3. Discovery & Job Development. We connect your interests with real employers in your community. No “placement mills” — every match is intentional.
  4. Placement & Coaching. Once you’re hired, your job coach provides on-the-job training and support, fading naturally as you build independence.
  5. Long-Term Support. We stay involved as long as you need us. Many of our clients have been employed for years with periodic check-ins from their coach.

Wright Choices operates three regional teams across Hampton Roads and the surrounding Virginia communities:

  • Peninsula Team — Newport News, Hampton, York County, Poquoson, James City County
  • Williamsburg Team — Williamsburg, Gloucester, Yorktown, and surrounding areas
  • Southside Team — Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk

Our main office is in Newport News, with job coaches working throughout the community where our clients live and work.
